UNIFIED COED LACROSSE: (Crofton Girls Lacrosse); Unified sports teams bring together students with and without disabilities to train and play together on the same team. The unofficial motto of Unified Sports is “Bringing students together on the field, and off.” Using the guiding principles of the Special Olympics Unified Sports program, Crofton Lacrosse will offer Coed Unified Lacrosse.  Athletes in grades 2-12 are invited to play lacrosse in a positive, inclusive, and non-competitive atmosphere.

Athletes will register through Crofton Athletic Council.  Teams will join athletes of similar ages.  All teams will practice twodays per week for one hour each session. Uniforms will be provided and athletes will keep them at the end of the season. Practice will consist of skill development and small-sided, age-appropriate, fun games.  There is no contact, however, all players will wear mouth guards and goggles as safety is of utmost importance. Instead of focusing on their disabilities, students will help their peers harness their capabilities through unified coed lacrosse.  The goal of our Unified Lacrosse program is to build friendship through lacrosse.
